Richard Henry Lee's motion that day in the Continental Congress set the blaze for the Declaration of Independence to be drafted. At the time we were colonies not even united yet. Pushed hard from the strain of being taxed without any representation from Great Britain, and taken offense at being called Colonist instead of Englishmen.
Those events added with the tyranny from King George the III sending troops to quell the citizens set the American revolution in motion.
Today we have new tyranny. A soft tyranny, but tyranny none the less. Not from a king but from a government who have completely ignored the cries of we the people. A small district nestled between Virginia and Maryland governs all 50 states and territories. A district where the leaders of the nation care more about themselves, their pockets, and the world's view than they do about their nation and it's citizens. That is why I propose a new resolve.

Until such time that Washington D.C returns to supporting the American citizen and it's love of this Great Nation." - Signed We the People 2016
If we can rise up and ignore anything and everything coming from this small district that governs us then we can send a clear message to the Federal Government that they should always fear it's people.
America is always and will always come first.
