Democrats Then and Now

Thank God that the Democratic ideology of today didn't exist during the two great wars. If the Obama Administration had been present during World War II we would have either never entered or entered the war too late, and reality for us would be the new Amazon Prime show "The Man in the High Castle". Thankfully we had an administration and President who loved America and the citizens of the United States to act when attacked.
On December 7, 1941 the Japanese launched a surprise attack on the US Naval Base Pearl Harbor in Hawaii, using bombers, torpedo bombers and midget submarines. On December 8, President Franklin D. Roosevelt delivered a speech, also known as the “Infamy Speech” to the American citizens, informing them that this happened while the US was in the midst of talks to keep peace. That same day, America entered into World War II.
More than 350 Japanese planes attacked about 33 American ships on orders of Vice-Admiral Chuichi Nagumo. America sustained a loss of nearly 170 aircraft destroyed and 160 damaged that morning, as well as three ships destroyed and 16 damaged. 3,700 Americans lost their lives, including 68 civilians. The cost to the Japanese was 29 aircraft, five midget submarines, and 130 service personnel, all but one of whom was killed in action.
The United States responded with the major offensive the battle of Midway six months later and continued on the offensive until the Japanese surrender September 2nd, 1945.
Obama on December 6th, 2015 gave a speech commenting on the recent Islamic terror attacks that have occurred at home and around the country. The speech he gave the American people was to lecture us on gun control and Islamic faith. Basically a gigantic slap in the face to every American citizen and veteran. Obama showed us cowardice the likes of which have never been seen by any President of any party until yesterday.
America was shocked that on the eve of the Pearl Harbor anniversary President Obama took the leftist narrative of acceptance and cowardice to push his agenda. Proving once again that the United States of America the once giant nation that took on the Japanese and Germans during World War II, and took on the Soviets during the Cold War is now without a leader. We have a coward in the White House who refuses to push back and stand up for the American people. Fortunately though we will not have to wait long until we can have a true leader again.
President Obama should have asked congress to declare all out war on Islamic Terror, mainly the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) the day after the Islamic terrorist attack in San Bernardino. He should have given a rousing speech instead of shamefully blaming us for the attack.

December 8, 1941

Yesterday, December 7, 1941 - a date which will live in infamy - the United States of America was suddenly and deliberately attacked by naval and air forces of the Empire of Japan.

The United States was at peace with that nation and, at the solicitation of Japan, was still in conversation with its Government and its Emperor looking toward the maintenance of peace in the Pacific. Indeed, one hour after Japanese air squadrons had commenced bombing in Oahu, the Japanese Ambassador to the United States and his colleague delivered to the Secretary of State a formal reply to a recent American message. While this reply stated that it seemed useless to continue the existing diplomatic negotiations, it contained no threat or hint of war or armed attack.

It will be recorded that the distance of Hawaii from Japan makes it obvious that the attack was deliberately planned many days or even weeks ago. During the intervening time the Japanese Government has deliberately sought to deceive the United States by false statements and expressions of hope for continued peace.

The attack yesterday on the Hawaiian Islands has caused severe damage to American naval and military forces. Very many American lives have been lost. In addition American ships have been reported torpedoed on the high seas between San Francisco and Honolulu.

Yesterday the Japanese Government also launched an attack against Malaya. Last night Japanese forces attacked Hong Kong. Last night Japanese forces attacked Guam. Last night Japanese forces attacked the Philippine Islands. Last night the Japanese attacked Wake Island. This morning the Japanese attacked Midway Island.

Japan has, therefore, undertaken a surprise offensive extending throughout the Pacific area. The facts of yesterday speak for themselves. The people of the United States have already formed their opinions and well understand the implications to the very life and safety of our nation.

As Commander-in-Chief of the Army and Navy, I have directed that all measures be taken for our defense.

Always will we remember the character of the onslaught against us. No matter how long it may take us to overcome this premeditated invasion, the American people in their righteous might will win through to absolute victory.

I believe I interpret the will of the Congress and of the people when I assert that we will not only defend ourselves to the uttermost but will make very certain that this form of treachery shall never endanger us again.

Hostilities exist. There is no blinking at the fact that our people, our territory and our interests are in grave danger.

With confidence in our armed forces - with the unbounded determination of our people - we will gain the inevitable triumph - so help us God.

I ask that the Congress declare that since the unprovoked and dastardly attack by Japan on Sunday, December seventh, a state of war has existed between the United States and the Japanese Empire."

-Franklin Delano Roosevelt (FDR) a real President of the United States.
